About Matt Walsh
Matt Walsh is a founding member of the improvisational sketch comedy ensemble Upright Citizens Brigade. This American comedian, writer, actor, and producer is best known for his portrayal as Mike McLintock in "Veep", for which he garnered two Emmy nods.
Career
He studied improv comedy in Chicago, where he also performed frequently at the Annoyance Theater and ImprovOlympic. He co-founded the Upright Citizens Brigade improv comedy group with Amy Poehler and other members, and he starred as "Trotter" in the group's three-season sketch comedy series on Comedy Central.
He is also recognized for his parts in the motion pictures “Ted”, “Keeping Up With The Joneses”, “The Hangover”, “Unplugging’, and ”High Road," among others.
Personal Life
He was a backup tight end for the football squad at Hinsdale South High School. He earned a psychology degree from Northern Illinois University and studied at Salzburg College for a year.
The Illinois-born actor and comedian tied the knot with Morgan Walsh. As of 2021, he is the father of three children.
