About Maurice Chevalier
Maurice Chevalier was an accomplished French celebrity of the twentieth century who had fans drooling over his dashing features. He had a great career as a successful entertainer, actor, and cabaret singer.
He started out as an acrobat and singer performing in public as a child and then laboring in menial professions, but his career as an acrobat was cut short due to an injury.
As a naturally talented personality, he began singing at cafes and performing in musicals. Later he rapidly came to widespread popularity as a singer and impersonator by a chance encounter with nightclub singer Mistinguett.
Chevalier is widely remembered for his performance in a number of successful and critically acclaimed films such as “The Love Parade”, “One Hour with You”, and “The Big Pond” as well as his signature tunes which include "Livin' In The Sunlight," and "Thank Heaven for Little Girls”.
