About Melissa Mathison
Melissa Mathison was an award-winning film and TV screenwriter. She is best known for her marked contribution to Hollywood films and television series and for her work in the award-winning films "The Black Stallion" and "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial."
She went on to work in a number of other successful films and television programs after her success, including "Twilight Zone: The Movie," "The BFG," "The Indian in the Cupboard," and "Son of the Morning Star."
In addition to her entertainment career, Mathison was also a notable campaigner for Tibetan independence.
