About Melvin Franklin
Melvin Franklin, also known by the moniker "Blue", was an American singer best remembered for his role as the bass singer of The Temptations - an iconic Motown vocal group who anchored such notable hits as 1964's My Girl, 1969's Cloud Nine and 1984's Treat Her Like a Lady. In 1989, he and the other members of The Temptation were honored with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He got the nickname "Blue" because the color blue happened to be his favorite color.
