American actor Michael J. Pollard spent a five-decade-long career in Hollywood before he finally retired in 2012. His most significant and memorable role was C.W. Moss, a supporting role in the 1967 biographical crime film “Bonnie and Clyde”. He also received critical acclaim for playing Marvin in “Enter Laughing”, a biographical comedy film and Billy Bonney in “Dirty Little Billy”.
Family Life
His mother, Sonia Dubanowich, and father, Michael John Pollack, were both of Polish ancestry. His first wife was actress Beth Howland to whom he was married to from 1961 to 1969. They had one daughter named Holly together. He later gave birth to his son Axel Pollard, with his second wife, Annie Tolstoy.
Accolades
He was given a BAFTA Award for “Most Promising Newcomer” for playing C.W. Moss in “Bonnie and Clyde". The same role earned him Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations.
