About Mike Bordin
Mike Bordin was a founding member of Faith No More band in 1983 and was sole drummer of the group until. He is known for collaborations with Ozzy Osbourne, Jerry Cantrell, and bands Black Label Society and Primus.
Family
The drummer was married to Merilee Ann Hague in 1994 and became parents to daughters, Abby and Violet.
Education
He studied at Castro Valley High School.
Drum Career
He formed his first band EZ-Street while in High School with American musician Cliff Burton. They employed guitarist Jim Martin and they became a trio. Bordin joined another band called Sharp Young Men in 1981. After a year performing a few shows, Sharp Young Men became Faith No Man, a name Bordon suggested, meaning Faith In No Man. Two years after the name change, the group recorded a two-song 7’’ single and then a three-tune demo tape. Bordin quit Faith No Man together with his colleagues Roddy Bottum and Billy Gould and birthed a new band Faith No More in 1979.
Faith No More
The band produced “We Care a Lot” in 1985 and several other albums including “The Real Thing” which received a Grammy nomination. The band was disintegrated in 1998 and reunited in 2009. The performed at shows across Europe and Australia released the album “Sol Invictus” in 2015.
