About Mike D'Antoni
Mike D'Antoni is an American-born Italian basketball coach and former professional basketball player who played for teams such as the Kansas City-Omaha Kings and the San Antonio Spurs during his playing career. He began his coaching career with the Italian basketball team Olimpia Milano in 1990. He went on to coach teams such as the Denver Nuggets, the Phoenix Suns and the New York Knicks. He was appointed associate head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015.

His marriage to Laurel produced a son named Mike.
Achievements
He won the 2005 NBA Coach of the Year and won the 2007 NBA All-Star Game. As an assistant coach for the United States men's national basketball team, he helped the team win gold in both the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Trivia
Olimpia Milano honored him by retiring the No. 8 jersey, which he wore during his playing career with the team.
