He is a well recognized television icon who has worked as a show host and anchor on television and radio.
Personal Life
His parents named him Michael Robinette Greenberg when he was born. Growing up, he got the nickname “Greeny”. He was born into a Jewish family and got enrolled in Stuyvesant High School. From there, he got admitted to Northwestern University.
Career
When he got into the university, he started working at WMAQ-AM as a reporter and sports anchor. He then moved on to WSCR radio where he became a talk show host and reporter on sports news. In 1996, he decided he wanted to work for ESPN. He partnered with Mike Golic to co-host the show “Mike & Mike”. In 2017, he ended his career on “Mike & Mike” and worked on a morning show at ESPN named “Get Up!”. He also worked with American Broadcasting Company when he hosted “Duel”, their game show. He featured in “Guiding Light”, a soap opera together with Mike Golic.
Trivia
He released a book in 2006 titled “Why My Wife Thinks I’m an Idiot: The Life and Times of a Sportscaster Dad”. The book did great and was well publicized.
