This South Dakota-native attended the University of Florida on an athletic scholarship where he led the Florida Gators to the 2000 NCAA Championship game only to lose to the Michigan State Spartans.
Career Highlights
Miller made his NBA debut in the 2000-01 season playing with the Orlando Magic. He was named the 2001 NBA Rookie of the Year Award for starting all 82 games. Miller was traded off to the Memphis Grizzlies, where he excelled holding the record for the most points scored. This got him an invitation to play for the USA team at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship held in Las Vegas, where they won gold.
This swingman went on to play for the Miami Heat, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Denver Nuggets then retired in 2017. After working as the assistant coach at the University of Memphis he resigned in 2020 to coach the Houston High School basketball team.
