Misa Hylton made a name for herself by styling popular hip-hop and R&B artists in the 1990s. The American fashion designer booked her first celebrity stylist job at 17 years old when her then-boyfriend, Sean Combs, who was an intern at Uptown Records, helped her convince management to get her to style the members of the music group, Jodeci, for a music video.
Musicians Mary J. Blige and Lil’ Kim have been her most notable clients. She has also styled for the likes of 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, La La Anthony.
Family Life
Her father is Black-American while her mother is of Japanese and Jamaican descent. She grew up in Mount Vernon, New York. She has three children; Justin, from her relationship with Sean Combs, and Madison and Niko, from her former marriage to Jojo Brim, a music executive.
