About Monty Hall
While he was still in school, Monty Hall was employed by CKRC radio which marked his first step to success. After working with a number of media houses, he moved to New York where he started hosting a number of game shows like NBC’s “Twenty-One” and “Strike It Rich” which was aired on CBS.
He’s best known as the first presenter and co-creator of the television show entitled “Let's Make a Deal”.
Family
He was born to Rose Rusen and Maurice Harvey Halparin. He was married to American television presenter Marilyn Plottel with whom he had three kids including singer and actress Joanna Gleason.
Education
He was a student of Lord Selkirk School before enrolling at St. John's High School. Hall read zoology and chemistry at the University of Manitoba.
Honors
In 1973, a star was placed on the renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame to acknowledge his contributions. He became a member of Canada's Walk of Fame in 2002, two years after he was honored on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.
Trivia
