Founder and ex-leader of the Samajwadi Party, Mulayam Singh Yadav was a great Indian politician who was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for three terms non - sequential. Apart from that, he was known to have held various positions in his homeland, including Minister of Defence for the Government of India, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh, Member of Parliament for the Lok Sabha, and Member of Parliament for the Azamgarh and Sambhal constituencies.

Family
The vet politician was raised together with five siblings namely Shivpal Singh Yadav, Rajpal Singh Yadav, Ratan Singh Yadav, Abhay Ram Yadav, and Kamla Devi Yadav.
