About Nobuo Uematsu
Nobuo Uematsu, often known as "Beethoven of video game music” is a well-known Japanese video game composer who garnered mainstream success for his work on Square Enix's “Final Fantasy” franchise.
Widely recognized as one of the greatest video game composers of all time He taught himself to play a number of different instruments and later became a competent musician.
He was hugely inspired by Elton John, an English singer, and songwriter. He began working at Square in 1985 when he met Hironobu Sakaguchi, the developer of the “Final Fantasy” series. They worked together on many projects in the ensuing two decades.
In 2004, he left Square to start his own production firm. Since then, he's worked as a freelance music composer on a number of games.
Uematsu has released a number of soundtracks and composed albums over the course of his career, as well as having his music played at a lot of events.
He was a member of the heavy metal band The Black Mages for ten years as a keyboardist and was named to the Classic FM Hall of Fame five times.
