Norm Macdonald was an amazing Canadian comedian, actor, producer and writer. He was widely known for appearing as a cast member on multiple seasons of Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1993 to 1998, during which he anchored the show's famous sketch Weekend Update.
Away from his work on SNL, he is also known for portraying Norm Henderson on the television sitcom The Norm Show and Rusty Heck on the ABC family comedy series The Middle.
Family Life
The comedian was the son of Ferne and Percy Macdonald. He was raised with two brothers, including older brother Neil Macdonald, who became a renowned journalist. He was married to Connie Vaillancourt from 1988 to 1996. The marriage produced a son named Dylan.

Macdonald’s death was caused by cancer, which he was diagnosed with several years before his demise.
