About Oleksandr Usyk
Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk is a Ukrainian professional boxer. He garnered worldwide attention in 2018 when he became the world’s first cruiserweight boxer to hold all the titles given by the world’s four major boxing organizations at the same time. After beating British boxer, Tony Bellew in November 2018, he retained his International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), and World Boxing Organization (WBO) cruiserweight titles and became an undisputed champion.
In 2019, Usyk gave up his titles in order to move up to the heavyweight division.
In September 2021 he defeated British boxer Anthony Joshua to become the world's heavyweight champion. The match took place in London.

He married Kateryna and they have had three children.

As of May 2020, he had fought in 17 matches in his 7 years of professional boxing and had won all of them; 13 of them by knockout.
His amateur career accomplishments include the 2008 Strandja Cup, a gold medal at the 2008 European Amateur Boxing Championships, the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championship heavyweight title and the 2012 Olympic gold medal.
