Career Resurgence
Grier is perhaps most popularly known by the general audience for portraying the titular character in Quentin Tarantino’s crime thriller film Jackie Brown in 1997. Her performance in the acclaimed film earned her a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress, among other nominations. For comic book fans, Grier is known for her three-episode run as Agent Amanda Waller in the television series Smallville.
