Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, whose stage name is PartyNextDoor, is a Canadian singer, rapper, songwriter and record producer. His first EP, PartyNextDoor, was released in 2013 which was then followed by his debut studio album, PartyNextDoor Two in 2014.
The raper has also worked on song collaborations with influential artists such as Drake, Big Sean and Jeremih. PartyNextDoor has also done significant work as a songwriter, with Rihanna’s hit song, titled, “Work” being solid proof of his writing prowess.
Family life
His father is from Trinidad while his mother is from Jamaica.
Achievements
In 2017, he received two Grammy nominations: one Best R&B Song nomination for his single, Come and See Me and one Album of the Year nomination for being featured on Drake’s album, Views. The same year, he won Songwriter of the Year at the MTVU Woodie Awards as well as Best New Canadian Artist at the iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards.
