Highlights
Pat holds the record for the most all-time wins in NCAA history, in both women and men’s divisions. Pat was the head coach of the University of Tennessee Vols from 1974-2012. In 2009, Sporting News listed her as #11, and the only female as one of the “50 Greatest Coaches of All-Time”. Pat was honored by President Obama with the Presidential Medal of Freedom award.

In 2011, Pat announced she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease and would be retiring. She was married and had one son.
