About Patricia Laffan
The Streatham-born actress received numerous credits for her performances in films and on TV. Laffan launched her career in 1936 and displayed her acting skills that same year in the British comedy film “One Good Turn”.
Family and Education
She was the daughter of Arthur Charles Laffan and Elvira Alice Vitali. The institutions she had her education at are Institut Francais. She trained to become an actress at the Webber-Douglas Dramatic School.
Career Highlight
Laffan developed the desire to become an actress after she watched the musical film “The Broadway Melody”. After completing acting school, she played parts in several films such as “Death in High Heels”, “Don’t Blame the Stork”, “Devil Girl from Mars” and “Crooks in Cloisters”.
Patricia Laffan gained wider recognition as a result of her involvement in the 1951 ancient Rome film “Quo Vadis”. The film’s screenplay was by Sonya Levien and John Lee Mahin. She made an appearance in the movie with a cast that included Robert Taylor, Peter Ustinov, Marina Berti and Ralph Truman.
The actress also participated in the following theatre productions: “One Way Street”, “Androcles and the Lion” and “Hidden Horizon”.
Death
She passed away due to multiple organ failure.
