About Paul Hornung
Paul Hornung earned a reputation for his phenomenal football career at the college and professional levels. After playing basketball, football and baseball for four years in high school, he joined the University of Notre Dame as a football player. In 1957, he was picked as the overall first selection in the NFL Draft. From 1957 to 1966, he played in the halfback and placekicker positions as a member of the Green Bay Packers.
He was raised in Louisville, Kentucky.
Achievements
He won the NFL championship with the Green Bay Packers four times. He was named the NFL’s “Most Valuable Player” in 1961. He also played in the Pro-Bowl in 1959 and 1960. In 1956, he received the Heisman Trophy.
Death
He passed away on November 13, 2020, after suffering from dementia for some time.
