About Pete Carroll
After Pete Carroll’s dream to play professional football could not materialize, he turned to a coaching career in the sport, starting with his alma mater, the University of the Pacific’s team, as a graduate assistant (1973-1976).
After working with other college teams, he made his NFL debut with the Buffalo Bills in 1984. He was not that successful as a head coach of the New England Patriots and the New York Jets so he returned to the NCAA, where he is remembered for his success with the USC Trojans team (2001-2009).
He has since become famous for his work as head coach of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks.
