About Peter Aerts
Peter Aerts was given the nickname “The Dutch Lumberjack” due to his famous destructive high kicks. The Dutch kickboxer, who is semi-retired, has competed in the heavyweight class division since the inception of his professional career in 1985 at age 14.
He debuted at the popular K-1 World Grand Prix tournament in 1993 and made frequent appearances until he announced his retirement in 2012, a decision he later rescinded. He has also dabbled in mixed martial arts and professional wrestling.

He grew up in Eindhoven, Netherlands. He has been married to Esther, with whom he has two children.
Achievements
He is a one-time International Kick Boxing Federation World Heavyweight Champion, a one-time Muay Thai Association World Heavyweight Champion and a three-time K-1 World Grand Prix Champion.
