About Peter Allen
Peter Allen was a highly experienced Australian singer, songwriter, and musician who sang, danced, wrote, and effortlessly made his way into the hearts of audiences all over the world with his flamboyant stage demeanor, lavish fashion sense, and tremendous energy.
Having a great passion for the entertainment world as a child, he commenced his career singing in school and performing in neighborhood pubs, with his mother's encouragement. Following the death of his father, He dropped out of school and worked as a young entertainer to help support the family.
He expanded his repertoire to include songwriting, dancing, and piano playing. He came to mainstream popularity after the release of the song "I Honestly Love You". He is also known for releasing successful recordings such as "Continental American", "Not the Boy Next Door", and "Taught by Experts".
Despite being a brilliantly colorful performer, the majority of his fame in the United States came from performances and recordings of his songs by other well-known vocalists such as Olivia Newton-John and Melissa Manchester.
