Robert Peter Cohon, famously known as Peter Coyote, is a seasoned and accomplished American actor, narrator and distinguished writer. He has starred in over 130 films and narrated over a dozen audiobooks and more than 200 documentaries.

Career Highlights
During the 72nd Academy Awards ceremony, he was dubbed the “Voice of Oscar” and was the first on-camera Academy Award announcer. His other notable voice work includes narrations for the “2002 Winter Olympics” opening ceremony and Apple’s Retina Display campaign. He also narrated the popular PBS series “The Pacific Century,” which earned him an Emmy in 1992.
He has directed and produced many famous documentaries such as “The Vietnam War (2017)”, “Prohibition (2011)” and Country Music (2019).
In 2015, he earned the “Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Narrator” for his outstanding works on “The Roosevelts”.
In the 1960s, he co-founded the “Diggers”. Between 1975 and 1983, he served as chairman of the “California Arts Council”.
Personal Life
He is an ordained Zen Buddhism priest and speaks English, French, and Spanish.
