About Peter Green
Peter Green was a renowned English songwriter, guitarist and a singer who is widely recognized as the founder of the rock band known as Fleetwood Mac. He helped the group to complete a number of projects including albums and singles.
Aside from Fleetwood Mac, Green also worked with some notable singing groups including John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers.
However, as a solo artiste, he recorded lots of hit singles including "Heavy Heart", "Big Boy Now", and "No Way Out". He established his name in the music world in 1970 when he dropped his maiden studio album titled “The End of the Game”.
Throughout his career, he recorded a total of seven albums which include “In the Skies”, “Whatcha Gonna Do?” and “Kolors”.
Getting to the end of the 1990s, he formed a band known as Peter Green Splinter Group and went ahead to record over five studio albums.
Family
His original name is Peter Allen Greenbaum. He was raised by his parents called Ann and Joe Greenbaum. He grew up together with his three senior brothers. In 1978 he got married to Jane Samuels, but divorced a year later. His daughter is called Rosebud.
Achievements
In 1998, he was initiated into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”. He was included in Rolling Stone’s "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".
Trivia
He served as a role model for a number of top musicians including Andy Powell, Gary Moore, and Noel Gallagher.
