About Peter Sallis
Peter Sallis was a British actor with a long history in the entertainment business. He is best known for his role as Wallace in the classic British comic series "Wallace and Gromit." Peter portrayed a number of roles, including Mr. David Clegg in the BBC1 sitcom "First of the Summer Wine" and Mr. Shielders in the film "Wuthering Heights."
In addition, he had notable cameos in other successful films and television shows such as "Who Killed Lamb?" and "The Avengers."

He was born to bank manager Harry Sallis and his wife Dorothy Amea Sallis. He was married to Elaine Usher but divorced in 1965. He had a son called Crispian Sallis.
