About Pierre Trudeau
Pierre Trudeau (Joseph Philippe Pierre Yves Elliott Trudeau) was a Canadian politician. He served as the 15th Prime Minister of Canada from 1968 to 1979 and from 1980 to 1984. He was a liberal.
His Highlights/Legacy
He was responsible for the patriation of the Constitution of Canada and the establishment of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
He is regarded as the greatest Canadian Prime Minister of all time.
His Personal Life
He was married to Margaret Sinclair for 13 years and they had 3 children together. He also had a daughter with politician Deborah Coyne. He dated actress/singer Barbra Streisand in 1969 and 1970.
In 1984, he became the first Canadian Prime Minister to become a single parent as the result of his divorce with Sinclair.
Fun Facts
