The former English EuroChallenge MVP power forward played in the NBA and for many international clubs in Russia and Turkey. He was born to Ghanaian parents in Britain and played for local junior teams before migrating to America for school and more professional career opportunities.
Career
. College, NBA and National
At George Washington University, Pops played for the Colonials team between 2002 and 2006 after which he began professional NBA games for major teams like the Besiktas, Galatasaray and Emporio Armani Milano.
In the British team, he featured in the 2009 EuroBasket, FIBA 2011 and the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
Pops had career high averages of 5.1 points at Toronto Raptors and 10.3 points at Joventut Badalona in the 2008/09 season,
· Managerial Posts
After retiring in 2015, he assumed the post of Advanced Pro Scout for the San Antonio Spurs and also the general manager for the Capital City Go-Go between 2018 and 2020.
Achievements
With the Turkish side Beşiktaş, he won the EuroChallenge in 2012. He also won the Turkish Cup that year.
Trivia
He had a 2-year suspension from all sports activities after testing positive for amphetamines in 2015.
