About Prunella Scales
Before Prunella Scales started her acting career, she worked as a deputy stage manager. It is believed that her first role came in the 1952 work titled “Pride and Prejudice”. Despite starring in loads of films, Scales had her breakthrough with her performance in the 1963 sitcom named “Marriage Lines”.

Her performance in BBC’s “A Question of Attribution”, where she played the Queen Elizabeth II role, earned her a nomination for a BAFTA award. She also became a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1992.
