He is the son of Park Won-Ho and Kim Young-hee. He married Yoo Hye-yeon in 2006 and had children with her.
Achievements
In December 2012, the music video for Gangnam Style exceeded a billion views on YouTube, making it the first YouTube video to reach one billion views. That same music video won him multiple Guinness World Records, including “Most liked video online”, “Most viewed video online in 24 hours” and “First video to be viewed more than 2 billion times on YouTube”.
Trivia
In 2001, he was arrested and sentenced to 25 days in jail for smoking and possessing of marijuana.
