Personal Life
He was born to Charles Rexford Bellamy and Lilla Louise and was named Ralph Rexford Bellamy. He left home at a young age to look for a job and ended up working with a road show. As an adult, he hung out with the “Boy’s Club” which others also referred to as the “Irish Mafia”. In total, he married four times in his life. The first was Alice Delbridge, the second was Catherine Willard, he later married Ethel Smith before ending up with Alice Murphy.
Career
His acting career started when he acted in the movie “The Secret Six” in 1931 where he played the role of Johnny Franks. In 1932, he starred in “Forbidden”, “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm”, “The Woman in Room 13” and “Almost Married” among others. As of 1990, he had featured in over a hundred and ten television shows. Some of the most notable ones were “Pretty Woman”, “Coming to America” and “Rosemary’s Baby”.
Death
In 1991, he had an issue with his lung and was sent to Saint John’s Health Center but he did not survive and passed away.
