About Randee Heller
American actress Randee Heller is best known for playing one of TV’s first lesbian characters in the sitcom “Soap.” She is also known for playing Lucille LaRusso in “The Karate Kid” and it’s third installment. She reprised her role as Lucille in the 2018 streaming series “Cobra Kai.”
Early Life & Education
Heller spent her childhood in West Hempstead, New York. She attended Adelphi University in Long Island, where she studied theater and graduated in 1969.
Acting Career
She got her start in acting after being cast in the off-Broadway show “Godspell.” She later played Rizzo in the Broadway production of “Grease.” Heller eventually moved to Los Angeles for screen work, landing a role in “Soap” and later starring in “The Karate Kid” film. She also appeared in other films, including “The Ladies Club”, “Monster-in-Law”, and “A Crooked Somebody.” In the latter, which was a 2017 comedy thriller directed by Trevor White, she appeared alongside Rich Sommer, Ed Harris, Amanda Crew, Amy Madigan, Clifton Collins Jr, and Joanne Froggatt.
Personal Life
Heller has two daughters, Sloane and Cody, with long-term partner, Robert Griffard who is a TV producer and writer.
