Randy Travis is the professional name of Randy Bruce Traywick, an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, and actor.
He is known for his gospel and country songs including the number one hit singles such as “On the Other Hand”, “Whisper My Name”, “Three Wooden Crosses” and “Diggin’ Up Bones”.
Until his 2013 stroke left him debilitated, he had been active since 1978. As an actor, he played a variety of roles in films and television series from the 1990s to the 2000s.

He is the second of Harold Traywick and Bobbie Tucker’s six children. He was first married to Elizabeth Hatcher, whom he divorced after 19 years, in October 2010. In 2015, he married Mary Travis.
