René Emile Goguen, often called by his ring name “René Duprée,” is a well-known Canadian professional wrestler. He has had many successes in the wrestling world since his teenage years and has worked for many renowned promotions, including “Pro Wrestling Noah,” “World Wrestling Entertainment,” “All Japan Pro Wrestling,” and “Hustle.”
Background & Early Career
He is the son of the renowned promoter and former wrestler Emile Duprée. He began a bodybuilding career in his early teens, and in 2001, at age 17, he rose to fame after becoming the “Mr. Canada Bodybuilding National Champion.”
Wrestling Career Highlights
He signed a professional contract with the “World Wrestling Federation” in April 2002, making his professional debut on October 9, 2002, under the name “René Duprée,” which he took from his father.
However, he is best known for his successful years in “World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).” In 2003, at age 18, he became the youngest wrestler in WWE history to win a title, after becoming “World Tag Team Champions” with Sylvain Grenier, in a pair known as “La Resistance.”
He is also noted for becoming a two-time “GHC Tag Team Champion” with El Hijo Wagner.
As of September 2022, he was signed to “Pro Wrestling Noah.”

In October 2009, he got married to Kanako Gougen.
