About Rich Eisen
Before starting his broadcasting career, Rich Eisen worked with the Chicago Tribune, and the Staten Island Advance as a writer. In 1994, he joined California’s KRCR-TV as a sports journalist.
The American media man went on to work for ESPN before moving to NFL Network in 2003.With the latter, he has appeared as the host of some popular shows like “NFL GameDay Highlights” and “Thursday Night Football”.
In 2014, he started hosting his own radio show which was entitled “The Rich Eisen Show”.
Family
He has been married to sportscaster Suzy Shuster. The couple married in 2003.
Education
During his time at the University of Michigan, he worked with the school’s newspaper, Michigan Daily, as one of their sports editors. He was later trained at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Achievements
He received the Pat Summerall Award for his humanitarian works in 2017. Eisen’s radio show was shortlisted for a Sports Emmy Award in 2022.
Trivia
In 2007, he published a book titled “Total Access”.
He briefly appeared in the 2014 movie “Draft Day”.
