About Rich Franklin
Rich Franklin is an American actor and former mixed martial artist widely known for his time with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), during which he became a one-time winner of the UFC Middleweight Championship. He was appointed Vice President of the Singapore-based mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship in 2014. As an actor, he has appeared in a number of films, including the 2008 science fiction film Cyborg Soldier.

In 2002, he got married to Beth Franklin.

He officially retired from fighting in 2015. According to him, his mother helped him make the important decision to retire from MMA.
Prior to his MMA career, he worked for a number of years as a Mathematics teacher at a high school in Cincinnati, Ohio.
