About Rich Gannon
Rich Gannon was initially drafted into the NFL in 1987 by the New England Patriots. However, he made his league debut with the Minnesota Vikings after he refused to play as a running back for the Patriots. He spent 18 years in the league in which he played for teams like Washington Redskins, and Kansas City Chiefs.
He recorded most of his successes with Oakland Raiders where he played from 1999 and 2004. During his time with the team, he was selected into four Pro Bowls and led the league’s passing yards log in 2002.
Television career
Gannon retired from the sport in 2005 and was hired by CBS Sports to work as one of their NFL analysts. He’s known for his preseason games analysis for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Personal Life
He has been married to a lady called Shelley. One of their children is said to be suffering from celiac disease.
Education
He studied at Saint Joseph's Preparatory School and later made it to the University of Delaware where he was a regular member of their football team.
Awards
The renowned quarterback was named NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 2002. That same year, he received the Bert Bell Award.
