About Richard Boone
Richard Boone served in the army during the Second World War before returning to a “normal” life in 1945.
After his service years, he underwent training in acting at the New York-based Actors Studio and subsequently made his Broadway debut in the late 1940s. His debut on-screen appearance followed in 1950.
His rise to prominence began in 1954, when he landed the role of Dr Konrad Styner in the medical drama series, “Medic”. He was also famous for his portrayal of Paladin in the then-widely popular television series, “Have Gun – Will Travel”.
Family Life
His parents were Kirk E. Boone and Cecile Beckerman. He grew up in Los Angeles, California. He had a son named Peter with his third wife, Claire McAloon. His first two marriages ended in divorce.
Achievements
He was honored by the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1975 for contributing to Israeli cinema.
Death
He died from throat cancer complications on 10 January 1981. He was 63.
