About Richard Jordan
In 1961, three years after leaving the university, Richard Jordan started his professional acting career in a Broadway production. He was cast in many films and television shows throughout his career which lasted for over three decades.
Many movie critics have argued that his best performance was in the 1976 sci-fi film “Logan's Run” where he played the role of Francis. Some well-known productions that he appeared in were “Raise the Titanic” and “The Hunt for Red October”.
Family
He was originally named Robert Anson Jordan Jr., and was born to Constance Hand and Robert Anson Jordan, Sr. His maternal grandfather was Learned Hand, a celebrated philosopher.
In 1964, she married Kathleen Widdoes, an actress. That same year, the couple welcomed their first child Nina Jordan. He later married Blair Brown and together they had a son called Robert Anson Jordan III.
Education
He was a student of Hotchkiss School before attending Harvard University.
Death
He died of brain cancer in 1993 at a time when he was shooting the film titled “The Fugitive”.
Trivia
He worked with many prominent filmmakers including Elizabeth Ashley, Ralph Waite, and Ronald Maxwell.
