Personal Life
Richard Edgeworth Sr. and Jane Lovell were the parents of this inventor, and when it was time for him to get higher education, he studied at Trinity College and Corpus Christi College.
Growing up, he married Anna Maria Elers who he had five children with then he went on to marry Honora Sneyd with whom he had two children with. He then married Honora’s sister by name Elizabeth Sneyd who he had nine children with. His fourth and last wife was Frances Ann Beaufort, a woman he had six children with. In total, he had twenty-two children.
Career
As an inventor, Edgeworth created different things including a machine that helps in the measurement of plots of land. He also worked on the phaeton, a carriage with four wheels, and the turnip cutter. He is also known to have fought for experimental philosophy.
Death
He passed away in 1817 when he was seventy three years old and it is believed that a few days prior to his death, he wrote about it.
