About Richard Neutra
Richard Neutra’s association with fellow architect Rudolf Schindler played a major role in his rise to fame. The two collaborated on many projects including the California-based Kings Road House and Aline Barnsdall’s complex in Hollywood.
The Austrian-born American architect rose to prominence in 1995 when he was hired by the U.S. Department of State to design an embassy in Pakistan. Regarded as one of the most popular modernist architects of his generation, Neutra worked on many buildings including the VDL Research House in Los Angeles, California and the California Military Academy.

He was born to Elizabeth Glaser and Samuel Neutra. He had three siblings which included renowned artist Josephine Theresia Weixlgärtner. This famous architect was married to Dione Niedermann and together they had three kids including Dion Neutra who followed in the footsteps of his dad.
