About Richard Rodgers
The composer, Richard Rodgers, was a native of America. He was famously known for his musical theatre acts. He had over 900 tracks. He began learning how to play the piano by the age of 6.
Before Rodgers was 15 years old, he had already written two hit songs. He made his first Broadway musical comedy appearance with his musical partner, Lorenz Hart, in 1919 when they performed the song, “Any Old Place With You”. Together with his partner, they made their professional production debut in 1920.
Some of the songs he composed include “No Strings” in 1962, “Androcles and the Lion” in 1967, “A Grand Night for Singing” in 1993 with the Hammerstein revue musical, and “Love Me Tonight” in 1932 with Hart.

He studied at Columbia University, DeWitt Clinton High School, Townsend Harris Hall, and the P.S. 166.
Family
He was the child of Mamie, and William A. Rodgers. In 1930, he tied the knot with Dorothy B. Feiner. He fathered two children named Mary and Linda.
Awards
Rodgers won several accolades including the Academy Award for “Best Original Song” in 1945, the Pulitzer Prize in 1950, the Tony Award in 1962, the Primetime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Original Music for Television” in 1961, and the Grammy Awards for “Best Musical Theater Album” in 1961 and 1963.
