Richard Carmichael is a former professional motocross and stock car race driver whose career achievements include winning the AMA Motocross 450cc championship seven times.
Career and Achievements
Branded as the “The GOAT” (meaning the Greatest of All Time), Carmichael well deserves it after his successful career in the motocross sports industry.
At NASCAR in 2008, his career cultivated to a higher level when he started participating and competing in the East Series for Ken Schrader Racing and ARCA Menards Series for Kevin Harvick Incorporated (KHI).
After Carmichael’s rookie years at KHI, he began driving at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for almost three years. He also worked with Turner Motorsports.
Engaging in consulting works, he went into partnership with Triumph Motorcycles; and together with Ivan Cervantes, he was charged with the development of Prototypes for the new line of off-road motorcycles.
Carmichael is most recognized as a seven-time winner of the AMA 450cc motocross national championship. He has won the AMA Supercross Champion 450cc five times.
Awards
In 2009, He was selected as the Camping World Truck Series Most Popular Driver, and years later, in 2015, he was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
