About Ricky Craven
Ricky Craven competed in his first NASCAR competition in 1986. After four years, he made his Busch North Series debut, and was named the “Rookie of the Year” after the season. He went ahead to win the competition in 1991.
That same year, he participated in his first Winston Cup series. The American driver gained global recognition in 2003 when he won the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400. Two years later, he was crowned the winner of the Kroger 200, which was his first win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Broadcasting Career
Craven is also known to be a commentator. In 1994, while he was still an active driver, the American worked as a reporter for TBS during their coverage of the Mello Yello 500. Since his retirement, Craven has worked for such media organizations as Yahoo! Sports, and ESPN. He usually works as one of their NASCAR analysts.

He has been married to a woman named Cathleen. The couple have three kids named Riley, Lydia, and Richard.
Education
He’s a graduate of Hampden Academy.
Honors
In 1991, he won Busch North Series’ “Most Popular Driver” award for the second time. The following year, he was named the Busch Series Rookie of the Year. He won the same award at the Winston Cup Series in 1995.
