About Robbie Knievel
The American daredevil followed the profession of his father, Evel Knievel, and made more than 300 career stunts with motorcycles over several heights.
Education and Early Stunts
By age four, Robbie had started jumping with his bike. He displayed his motorbike pre-jump skills while on tour with Evel before turning a teenager. He enrolled at Central Catholic High School in Montana but did not graduate.
Suits and Favorite Motorbikes
Knievel had custom attire and favorite brand of bikes: he jumped with Harley Davidson XR-750 and X-2 Skycycle. His favorite jumpsuits were noticeably white or black with red or blue V-line and with either white, red or blue stars.
Notable Jumps
In 1980, he became the first to successfully jump the Caesars Palace fountains and in 1998; he jumped over 30 limousines 23 feet high. The stunt performer dared several hundred arrays of vehicles, buildings and even a volcano.
Films and Side Business
Knievel appeared in A&E’S “Knievel Wild Ride” and “Hollywood Stunts”. His Knievel Custom Cycle business dealt in sales of motorcycles and jumpsuits.
Cause of Death
The world lost this famous stunt performer after his unsuccessful battle with pancreatic cancer.
Honors
He became a member of South Dakota’s Motorcycle Hall of Fame In 2007.
