About Robbie Robertson
Robbie Robertson is an iconic Canadian singer, songwriter and guitarist famed for being the lead guitarist and main songwriter for the Canadian-American roots rock group The Band, who are known for numerous hits including The Weight, which was placed at the 41st position on Rolling Stone's 2004 list of the 500 greatest songs of all time. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Personal Life
He got married to journalist Dominique Bourgeois in 1967. Three children were born to the marriage before it ended in divorce.
Achievements
He and The Band were inducted into the Canadian Juno Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and 1994 respectively. He is also a multiple inductee into Canada's Walk of Fame, in 2003 as a solo artist and in 2014 as a member of The Band.
