Robert Blake first found fame as a child actor in the 1940s before transitioning successfully into adult roles. His most popular childhood on-screen appearances were in the film series “Our Gang” and “Red Ryder”.
As an adult, he became known best for his performances as Perry Smith in the 1967 crime film, “In Cold Blood” and Anthony Vincenzo Baretta in the detective television series, “Baretta”.
He retired in 1997 after his appearance as The Mystery Man in the film, “Lost Highway”.
Family Life
His parents, Elizabeth Cafone and Giacomo Gubitosi gave him the birth name Michael James Gubitosi. He had two siblings. He married three times.
Achievements
He received an Emmy Award and a Former Child Star Lifetime Achievement Award for his career.
Trivia
