About Robert Maxwell
At birth, he was named Ján Ludvík Hyman Binyamin Hoch. He was a British MP, who represented the Buckingham constituency between 1964 and 1970. He was also a famous media tycoon.
Personal Life
He was from a poor home and when the N-zis occupied their area, most of his family members were murdered. In 1945, he got married to Elisabeth Meynard and had nine children with her. Two of his children died; one from leukemia and one due to complications from an accident.
Career
He moved to Marseille and joined the Czechoslovak Army. He owned Sinclair Research. It is known that he owned part of MTV in Europe. He worked with Springer Verlag and supplied their books to Britain and the US.
In 1964, he became a member of parliament for the Labour Party. At a point in his life, he wanted to purchase the tabloid newspaper but the owners were enraged at the thought of a Czechoslovak immigrant owning their company.
Death
His lifeless body was discovered floating in the Atlantic Ocean.
