About Robert Stephens
Robert Stephens, popularly known as knight errant, was a legendary leading actor who excelled on both theater and screen. He became interested in performing at a young age and received education at the Bradford Civic Theatre School.
He went on to establish himself as a prominent theatrical performer in London theaters, owing to his innate aptitude. His first significant breakthrough came in 1958 when he was cast as a furious would-be writer in "Epitaph for George Dillon," a drama written by John Osborne and Anthony Creighton.
He earned his biggest break after being persuaded by Olivier to join the fledgling National Theater Company in 1963. Following his big break, he cemented his reputation as one of his generation's most outstanding performers. With his dramatic character parts in major productions such as "South Bank Show," "Cleopatra," and "Fortunes of War," he eventually established himself as a successful television and film actor.
