Early Life
Rodrigo moved to Spain in his early teens and joined the Spanish youth academy, RC Celta de Vigo in 2005. Four years later he moved to the Real Madrid youth center.
Career
Rodrigo made his senior-level debut in 2009 with Real Madrid B where he made a total of 18 appearances and netted 5 goals.
He signed a €6 million deal with the Potuga club S.L. Benfica in 2010 and made an impressive 68 appearances in four years with a total of 27 goals. He was crucial to the club winning the League Cup. Rodrigo moved to Valencia CF, signing a four-year deal of €30 million. He had an impressive run with the club, making a total of 141 appearances and 35 goals including two hat-tricks.
Rodrigo made the move to the premier league by signing a four-year deal with Leeds United in August 2020.
